Organising Resources for Business Schools: A Two-Day Workshop for Educational Institutions
The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) and the Indian School of Business (ISB) jointly organised a workshop on “Organising Resources for Business Schools.” Around 35 participants mostly from B-schools and engineering colleges attended the two-day event. The Inaugural session was graced by Professor and Dean Emeritus M R Rao. Professor Masood Ahmed, the inaugural speaker and President, AIMS; S Venkadesan, Director, LRC, and M Koteswara Rao, Chief Librarian, Hyderabad Central University addressed the workshop and spoke about the trends in library automation, collection development and electronic resources. This session was followed by a presentation by EBSCO Group, the leading service provider of e-journals and eBooks among other academic publications.
On the following day, M Madhan of International Crops Research for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) spoke about institutional repositories and K Sudhakar of UNICEF spoke on managing customer expectations in professional services. A talk on copyright permission was presented jointly by S Venkadesan and S P Balasubramanian. The participants had an opportunity to practice what they had learnt during the workshop. The access to workshop materials, including articles, power point presentations, and the photographs will be available until February 29, 2012.
